KARACHI: A newborn was kidnapped from government-run Sobhraj Maternity Hospital in Karachi on Sunday.
Despite
kidnaps of five infants from the same hospital, no security steps were
put in place. According to reports, newly born baby of Zia ur Rehman, a
resident of Keemari, was abducted today.
Hospital’s Medical Superintendent suspended four staff and constituted a four-member team to investigate the incident.
Staff
nurse Rubina, who was suspended on suspicions of having role in
kidnapping of baby, has held doctors responsible for the missing baby.
So
far police could not lodge a case against the kidnapping. Police say
they are investigating the abduction. Affected family has demanded
justice and early recovery of their baby. Online
