Senior lawyer Supreme Court of Pakistan Athar Minallah has said that all should respect the verdicts of the judiciary and should implement these decisions; weather verdict is in faovur or against somebody.
In an interview with a state-run TV, Athar Minallah said that the
institution of judiciary could only be strengthened by implementing the
court verdicts.
He said that the political parties should not use the Supreme Court
for the achievement of their vested interests, adding that the court
also not be made political battlefield.
He said that the implementation of the court decision regarding the
PCO judges by the government is a good omen, adding that it is awful
that some circles tried to use the judiciary for the achievement of
their personal interests, which causes harm to the institution.
He said that it has become so difficult to differentiate that who is
accepting the court verdicts and who is opposing the verdicts, adding
that to strengthen the institution is in our own favour.
He said that we should not allow anybody to use the institution in
his own interest, adding that all should respect the verdicts of the
