Public problems increased during Ramazan: Baloch

The Jamaat-e-Islami Secretary General Liaquat Baloch has said that the governments at the centre07 and in the provinces have added to the miseries of the masses during the holy month of Ramazan instead of providing them any relief.

Speaking at an Iftar party at the residence of deceased JI MPA Syed Mueen Arif, on Saturday, he said that the present rulers had caused unprecedented price spiral by raising the prices of POL, gas and the electricity tariff.
Liaquat Baloch said that the government claims of providing eatables and essential during the Ramazan on subsidized rates had proved hollow as there was no difference between the prices in the Ramazan Bazar and the market.
Similarly, he said, the official claims about the Utility Stores had proved to be false with the clear evidence of adulteration in the eatables available there.
He said the federal government had raised gas prices by 13 and a half per cent while the electricity tariff had been raised just before Ramazan. The LPG prices were being enhanced thrice a month. The people had to pay heavy electricity bills despite prolonged load shedding.
He said that the present rulers had failed because they gave priority to their selfish ends as against the interests of the country and the nation. Therefore, the present democratic set up was a farce in the name of good governance.
He said the JI was continuing its struggle for solving the problems of the people through an honest and competent leadership. SANA
