Mumtaz Bhutto sees a plot to separate rural and urban Sindh

KARACHI: The Chairman of Sindh National Front, Mumtaz Ali Khan Bhutto has termed the restoration of local government system in Karachi and Hyderabad a conspiracy to divide Sindh province.

He instruct the workers to hold the protest rallies against government’s decision in all the district headquarters. He said that if the other parties would hold rallies against it, Sindh National Front would also join them.
Mumtaz Bhutto has also called the meeting of Executive Committee on 9 August at Karachi.
It is pertinent to mention here that last night Governor Sindh Dr Ishrat-ul-Ibad Khan and leader of PPP Dr Babar Awan held long round of talks at Governor House in which it was decided that old system would be revived in the districts of Karachi and Hyderabad, whereas the commissionerate system would continue to prevail in reaming parts of Sindh.
The nationalist parties of Sindh as well as ANP, an ally of PPP government have rejected the move to restore the old system in Karachi and Hyderabad. Online
