ISLAMABAD: Speaker National Assembly Dr. Fehmida Mirza has appointed
nine parliamentarians of Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) as members of the
Standing Committee here on Saturday.
These members lost their
jobs after the termination of standing committees in the provinces;
these people have now been made part of the standing committees in the
Federal government.
According to the a circular of National
Assembly Secretariat, Saradar Yaqoob Khan Nasir (Standing Committee on
Overseas Pakistani Affairs), Rana Afzal Hussain (Standing Committee on
Petroleum and Natural Resources), Nelson Azeem (Standing Committee on
Housing and Construction), Parveen Masood Bhatti (Standing Committee on
Cabinet Secretariat), Shahnaz Saleem (Standing Committee on Trade), Dr
Darshan (Standing Committee on Information and broadcasting), Tasneem
Saddiqi (Ports and Shipping) Sardar Mumtaz Khan Timan (Standing
Committee on Defense Production), Sardar Muhammad Shafaqt Hayyat Khan
(Standing Committee on Information Technology). The number of committee
