Fleeing from custody of police by Anjam Aqeel a black deed: Rehman Malik

ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Rehman Malik has said fleeing from the custody of police by PML-N legislator Anjam Aqeel is a black deed.

Interior minister said this while talking to media men here Saturday in interior ministry. He asked PML-N to cancel the party membership of Anjam Aqeel Khan.
PPP leaders have always served jail terms but they have always respected law and never violated it , he held. However violators of law would be proceeded against indiscriminately no matter whatever status they enjoy, he announced.
Former ministers of PPP are also facing courts and are on remand, he observed. They never violated laws and presented them before the court, he added.
He went on to say Moonis Elahi was not staying in any palace but he was on judicial remand and was facing the courts. Action has been taken against Zafar Qureshi for violating code of conduct, he told.
Responding to a question Rehman Malik said he appeals to Anjum Aqeel to surrender him before law and respect the statements being given by PML-N leadership.
Action against Anjam Aqeel Khan had been initiated under Supreme Court orders. Efforts are underway to arrest him and he will be arrested wherever he is found available , Rehman Malik held.
People could not be befooled through wrong statements, he stated. Whosoever is found involved in this incident will be proceeded against under law, he said. Online
