Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani has directed the Federal Minister for
Interior Rehman Malik to make a coordinated effort with all the
provincial governments to improve the security situation in the country.
Rehman Malik called on PM Gilani here on Tuesday at PM Secretariat
and briefed the prime minister about the law and order situation of the
country.
Prime minister directed the interior minister to strengthen the
intelligence gathering and sharing mechanism for achieving the goals
and said that necessary steps must be taken to enhance the counter
militancy effectiveness of the civil law enforcement agencies, adding
that the capacity building and training of law enforcement agencies.
Rehman Malik also briefed the Prime Minister about various steps
taken by the Interior Ministry to enhance coordination and intelligence
sharing with the provincial security agencies. SANA
