ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Electric Power Company (PEPCO) will be replaced
with National Dispatch & Transmission Company (NDTC) after
finalizing an agreement with international institutions from June 30
(tomorrow).
As per media reports, the final notification of the
removal of PEPCO will be issued today (Wednesday). Federal government
has made decision after finalizing agreements with international
institutions, and in this regard both Federal Government Board and
Water & Power Ministry have approved the decision of PEPCO’s
replacement with NDTC.
While Grid System Distribution,
Generation Companies and CBBA Cell bylaw will work under the NDTC after
the removal of PEPCO. Besides, sources said that NDTC will begin its
working from 1 July and Rasool Khan Mehsud will assume the charge of
Managing Director (MD), it is pertinent to mention here that at present
