Syed Munawar Hassan, Amir Jamaat-e-Islami, has said that if the QMQ has learnt the
lesson from time and situation then it should have to stop extortion
and killings of the innocent people and play opposition role
effectively.
Talking to media persons here on Tuesday, he demanded asked PML-N Quaid Mian Nawaz Sharif that he should apologized from the nation because he was involved in the crimes with the current government of PPP and his three years support to corrupt rulers, adding that now he should move forward with opposition on one agenda.
Munawar Hassan said that the situation of the country is changing rapidly and current parliamentary system and reconciliation only benefited rulers instead of masses, adding that resolution of parliament is still not implemented.
He said that drone attacks are not only continued but the numbers of attacks increased after the joint resolution and the country is facing many tough challenges like inflation, poverty, unemployment and many others ills. He said that all the opposition parties should get together and have to play their role of strong opposition and MQM resigned in the past from the government many times but it looked that this time they have seriously changed their way.
He said that in the election of Azad Jammu and Kashmir PPP and PML (N) alleged each other of rigging and PPP government is failed to hold elections fair and transparent on a limited level.
He said that if government claims are fact based that it restored peace in Swat and Buneer then it would have to call back army from these areas.
He said that the government should take effective measures to stop the drone attacks in the country and should not be much concerned about the friendship with America.
He said that the government should inform the masses about the work on Abbottabad and Saleem Shehzad commissions on daily basis, adding that it is difficult to predict that next general elections in the country would be free and fair.
He said that the Election Commission of Pakistan should be independent like in India, adding that he is not seeing any effort to reinstate the MMA but it is time to regroup again because masses and country should get rid from American slavery now.
Syed Munawar Hassan said that to liberate country from America all the people would have to join the movement Go America Go of Jamaat-e-Islami and regarding this Jamaat-e-Islami would stage sit-in Gujrawala on 15th of July and in Balochistan on 19th of July. SANA
