Water wastage goes unchecked

ISLAMABAD: Water wastage in posh sectors of the federal capital has become a routine matter and the CDA has failed to check the practice.

The CDA has assigned teams to check water wastage but their performance is very poor.
Water wastage is common in posh sectors - F-6, F-7 and F-8. Water also remain on the roads for a long time after drivers of rich people wash big cars.
The CDA inspectors some time issue notices to the owners of big houses but no action is taken to discourage the practice.
The residents of posh sectors are ignoring appeals to save water as most parts of Islamabad face water shortage. Water vessels remain open in the lawns of these sectors.
The residents said that a campaign should be launched to create awareness among the residents about water usage. The authorities concerned should take note of the water wastage in posh sectors. Online
