Flyovers on Murree Expressway demanded

ISLAMABAD: People living in areas alongside Murree Expressway have demanded construction of flyovers in populated areas. They also called for erection of safety walls at proper sites.

Flyovers have been constructed in less populated areas where they are not needed. Athal Chowk Bahra Kahu is most congested and populated venue of the area but no fly over has been built, complained a group of traders.
"We have to wait for hours to cross the road due to flooding traffic," said Umair, a resident of the area. The poor patients cannot cross the road and have to face agony of long hours wait due to traffic congestion, said a patient.
Safety walls are required to be erected in the areas which are exposed to land sliding but along side Murree Express way these norms have not been kept in view while building safety walls, residents said in one voice. Online
