Shahi for investigation into Mirza’s allegations

KARACHI: Provincial President of ANP Shahi Sayid has said that proofs should be sought to establish accuracy or inaccuracy of the blames leveled by former Sindh Home Minister Zulfiqar Mirza.

In a statement issued here Saturday from Bacha Khan Markaz Karachi, he said that the judiciary, the executive and the parliament should seek proofs instead of terming the accusation as mere political statement.
He regretted that not a single institution was ready to look into the serious allegations leveled by the former home minister.
Shahi Sayid, who is also chairman of Pakhtun Action Committee (Loya Jirga), said that National Assembly’s standing committee for interior affairs and Balochistan as well as the seven-member parliamentary committee for Karachi should call in Mirza for finding facts and removing people’s anxiety.
He said that it is very sad that no institution had taken notice of the situation in Karachi so far, adding that stance of Awami National Party (ANP) is proving true that Karachi was made a pile of explosives under a well-planned thinking.
He called upon all the political parties to play their role for peace in Karachi. People could even be killed with licensed arms, he pointed out. The provincial president of ANP said that armed groups and arms should be completely banned in the city. Online
