LAHORE: Acknowledging services rendered by renowned university
professor, Waris Mir in fields of journalism PM Yousaf Raza Gilani has
announced to establish a “Waris Meer Chair” in Punjab University.
PM,
Yousaf Raza Gilani personally visited the house of the professor, who
had also been PM’s teacher, where he met with his family members, Hamid
Mir, Amir Mir, and Imran Mir.
During his visit, the PM fondly
reminisced and cherished the memories of his old teacher, whence the PM
paid glowing tributes to his teacher, and lauded his teacher’s
