Mohammad Hafeez struck a commanding century Saturday as Pakistan
reached 196-2 in its first innings in a strong fightback on the third
day of the one-off test at Queens Sports Club.
Resuming from his
overnight score of 79, Hafeez accelerated with fluent stroke-play to
reach 119 before falling cheaply to part-timer seamer Hamilton
Masakadza on the stroke of lunch.
He faced 117 balls and smashed
19 boundaries and a six in an attacking innings, sharing an 188-run
second wicket stand with Azhar Ali (65 not out) to bring back Pakistan
into contention after Zimbabwe totalled 412 in its first innings. AP
