KARACHI: Provincial Minister for Local Government Agha Siraj Durrani said that President Asif Zardari expressed his annoyance on the statement of Zulfiqar Mirza and instructed concerned quarters of PPP to take punitive action against him and accept his resignations forthwith.
While talking to the media, he termed the statement of Mirza as his personnel opinion and party has nothing to do with it. The top leadership of the party has decided to cease his basic membership of the party , however , final decision would be taken by Disciplinary Committee in this regard.
“Leaders of both MQM and PPP would offer Eid prayers at their respective mosques , however a get-to-gather would be held after Eid”, Agha added.
On the other hand Speaker Sindh Assembly Nisar Khoro said that he did not receive Mirza’s resignation so far. Online
