LAHORE: The Jamaat-e-Islami chief, Syed Munawar Hasan, has exhorted the nation to resolve on the Eid day to face the problems and difficulties confronting the country as one man and get rid of the plunderers and corrupt rulers through ballot power.
According to press release issued here on Tuesday, congratulating the nation on Eid-ul-Fitr, the JI chief said in a message that Pakistan was passing through the most critical time of its history and the whole nation was facing a period of trial. This Muslim homeland was suffering because of the wounds inflicted by the aliens as well as its rulers. Lawlessness prevailed all over the country.
Bloodletting in Karachi had taken away the peace of the whole nation. Price hike and unemployment thrust by the rulers had buried millions alive and pushed them into darkness.
However, he said that the Pakistani people had to face the situation with courage and resolution, and resolve on this auspicious day to defeat the corrupt politicians with the power of ballot and bring forth patriotic, honest and competent leadership to run the country.
Syed Munawar Hasan appealed the nation to sincerely pray for the security and survival of the country, for the restoration of peace and stability, for end to the Karachi bloodshed and for getting rid of drone attacks and the US intervention. He also urged the masses to remember their less fortunate brethren on this moment of happiness of Eid. Online
