20 killed, 35 injured in suicide attack during funeral payer in Lower Dir

LOWER DIR: At least 20 people were killed and 35 others injured when a suicide bomber blew himself up during funeral prayer near Jandol, the main town of tribal agency, officials said.

According to state television, unfortunate incident took place at Samar Bagh, suburb area of Jandol, where over hundred people were offering funeral prayer of a worker died in Saudi Arabia.
Authorities confirmed twenty causalities while 35 injured were shifted to Tamar Garah hospital where condition of few wounded reported critical which feared increase the death toll.
Police confirm, the explosion was a suicide attack. Law enforcement agencies cordon off the area to start search and rescue operation.
Police officer Mohibullah Khan said the death toll could rise. It was not immediately clear why the funeral was targeted or who was being buried, he added.
