A gang of armed men destroyed 12 Nato oil tankers and injured six persons including three drivers in an attack at a convoy at Karamabad area in Khairpur here on Monday.
More than 20 attackers opened fire at the convoy in Karamabad near National Highway in which 12 oil tankers were gutted.
The tankers were attacked when the drivers and crew were having tea at a roadside restaurant.
The injured were shifted in the civil hospital of Khairpur; meaqnwhile the attackers managed to flee the scene after the attack.
The fire brigade vehicles were called from Sukhar and Ghotki and fire fighters overcome the fire in five hours struggle.
Meanwhile police and law enforcement agencies have cordoned off the
area and have launched the search operation for the arrest of the
perpetrators involved in the attack. SANA
