Karachi violence claim another 13 lives

At least 13 persons were killed in the ongoing violent incidents in Karachi on the 1st day of August; meanwhile many houses and vehicles were also gutted by the terrorists.

A man was gunned down in Sujani Town where several houses, shops and vending carts were set ablaze by miscreants.
Two injured people, who sustained injuries in Malir area of Alfala’s Shamsi Society and Surjani Town, succumbed to injuries.
Bodies of two persons with limbs tied were recovered from Pak Colony near Dhobi Ghat. Another body with hands and legs bound was recovered from Awami Colony, Korangi.
A dead body was recovered from the Meera Naka area of Layari, who was killed by the unknown persons after kidnapping him.
Meantime, a body wrapped in sack was retrieved from Miranaka, Liyari. Man, Shamsur Rehman and his wife were killed when gunmen opened fire at their house in Baldia Town-5. Police said the incident was result of personal enmity.
In another incident of violence, 40-year-old Hayat s/o Wasim Jan was gunned down near Perfume Chowk in Gulistan-e-Johar, another person was shot dead in the limits of Sharafi Goth police Station at Mansehra Colony in Landhi.
A man lost his life in firing incident in Mansehra Colony area of Landhi, the dead person was the employee of CID police and was serving the bomb disposal squad.
One person was killed due in the result of the firing of the unidentified persons in north Nazimababd area; meanwhile one person was killed in Abualhassan Asfahani Road in the result of the firing of unidentified gunmen.
Besides the patrolling and search operation of police and rangers the situation is tense in Baldia Twon, Surjani Town, Gulshan-e-Jauhar, Shah Faisal Colony, Landhi and Orangi Town and residents are forced to remain indoors due to the fear.
According to a private TV channel 343 persons were killed and more than 450 injured in July in the result of the violent incidents in Karachi. SANA
