Abbotabad Commission postpones meeting ISLAMABAD: Meeting of
Abbottabad Commission (AC) constituted to ascertain facts about US
military operation in Abbottabad has been postponed due to non
availability of Director General ISI Lt Gen Ahmad Shujja Pasha as
commission had summoned him in connection with his briefing on May, 2
incident.
High military sources told Online Monday AC meeting
which was to be held on August 1 had to be postponed due to Lt Gen
Ahmad Shujja Pasha pre-occupations abroad. However sources refused to
inform about the name of the country where DG ISI was at present and
what was objective of his visit.
As per media reports DG ISI
was to undertake an important visit of China in the perspective of
Pak-US relations. However no confirmation could be made from
independent sources about the reports of DG ISI visit to China, Earlier
DG Military Operation Maj Gen Ashfaq Nadeem Ahmad had given detailed
briefing to commission on May 2 incident in its July, 25 meeting. In
his briefing DG Military operation had told that US had conducted this
operation in the environment of trust with Pakistan and army was fully
ignorant about this operation. He had also told that country’s national
assets could not be compared with Abbottabad incident. Only training
