Prime Minister Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani approved posting of three BPS-22 officers including Suhail Ahmed here on Monday.
Anees ul Hassnain Musavi has been posted as Secretary, Ministry of
National Harmony while Sohail Ahmad Secretary, Narcotics Control
Division and Abdul Ghaffar Soomro Senior Member, Federal Land
Commission.
The Supreme Court had declared the government notification on
Secretary Establishment Sohail Ahmed being made Officer on Special Duty
(OSD) as null and void and ordered his reinstatement within seven days.
The prime minister in compliance of the court orders reappointed Sohail Ahmed as the Secretary Narcotics Control division.
On Friday, the Supreme Court had cancelled the notification of
relegation of Sohail Ahmed from the post of establishment secretary to
the post of ‘officer on special duty’.
The court in its detailed verdict said that the notification to make Sohail Ahmed an OSD was not correct. SANA
