ISLAMABAD: Senate standing committee on law and justice has
unanimously approved amendment bill on fresh demarcation of proposed
constituencies.
Committee met here Wednesday under senator
Kazim Khan. Meeting was attended by Nayyar Hussain Bokhari, Jahangir
Badar and Saeeda Iqbal.
Law ministry authorities gave briefing
on government bill to the members of committee about demarcation of
constituencies. The members expressed their opinions.
Later the
members gave consensus opinion if members of election commissioner are
short by one member then date by fixed for nomination of new member to
fill in the seat. If a new member quits his seat then the parliamentary
committee will appoint new member. Online
