PESHAWAR: Chairman, Pakistan People’s Party (Sherpao), Aftab Ahmed
Khan Sherpao has demanded that the arrears of Net Hydel Profit should
be given in accordance with the principles of AGN Qazi Formula.
In
a statement here, PPP-s Chief said that the provincial government has
failed to protect the rights of Pakhtuns as it had adopted weak stance
which was instrumental in the denial of province rights. It, he
continued, is ironical that ANP and PPPP are in government in centre
and province but it has been complaining from its own government of
injustice and discrimination. He added that if the federal government
was not doing justice to its own government in the province then how
the common people could expect any justice from it.
He said
that the provincial government had committed to establish fund for the
net hydel profit so as to utilize this amount for new hydel projects in
the province. He asked that the details of the fund should present
before the nation as how much fund had been spent for this purpose.
He
said that the provincial government was not fairly spending the net
hydel profit that had created doubts in the public mind.
He said that PPP-S would not support the misdeeds of the government that had deprived the people of their rights and resources. Online
