Political parties submit representations for committee investigating Karachi, Balochistan crisis

ISLAMABAD: Political parties have submitted names of their representatives for committee formed to investigate the deteriorating law and order situation in Karachi and Balochistan.

The decision to form the committee has been taken in light of decison made in recent meeting of N.A, and the 20-strong committee would be formed within 2-3 days.
Responsible sources informed that Speaker NA, Dr. Fehmida Mirza had written to parliamentary leaders of political parties, PML-N has submitted asking them for their nominations.
Sources have also informed that PML-N has submitted 5 nominations, PML-Q and MQM 4, ANP 3, and JUI (F) has submitted 1 name for the purpose.
ONLINE has also been informed by the sources that this 20-member committee would take a close preview of the Karachi crisis, and submit its final recommendations to N.A session.
Meanwhile the exact number of these representatives would be decided according to their party strength in N.A, while the committee would also appoint its chairman with consensus. Online
