Muslim League-Q Chief Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain has said that Karachi’s problem
is a political issue, only politicians could solve it and added that
army, rangers or police force could not resolve this issue.
Addressing an Iftar-dinner party arranged by ML-Q activist Chaudhry
Riaz Ghaman in Jedda, Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain said that the Karachi
problem was the creation of the politicians and its resolution would
have to be found out by the chiefs of all the political parties
together.
It was imperative for this purpose to convene a long table
conference instead of the round table, he said. He further said that
the party-chiefs would have to sit together until arriving at any final
decision and do not let the conference wind up sans resolving this
problem.
Later talking exclusively to private TV channel, Q-League chief told
that his party talks with the PPP on seat-to-seat adjustments in the
next elections were underway.
On a query, he made it clear that the new provinces should be made
on administrative basis rather than political or ethnic and this would
strengthen the country. SANA
