SIALKOT : The Sialkot education department officials have stopped the salaries of as many as 200 male and female educator teachers.
District Education Officer (DEO) Sialkot Rehana Kausar told the newsmen that the salaries have been stopped as the academic degrees of 200 male and female teachers have not yet been verified, as they had been appointed as educator teachers in 2009 and were also posted at different government schools in Sialkot, Daska, Sambrial and Pasrur tehsils of Sialkot district.
She said that the verification of the degrees was being carried out thoroughly on the orders of Chief Justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhary. She said that if the degrees of said 200 were proved as fake then they will be terminated from their jobs and fraud cases would also be registered against them , besides, recovering all their salaries from them, in this regard.
