Karachi : The World Wide Fund for Conservation of Nature WWF will observe Earth Day on Friday, April 22 with a theme ‘A Billion Acts of Green Clean up your City’
in collaboration with CDGK,CAA and Radio1FM91 at the Karachi Zoo from 4-6pm.Earth Day 2011 is an ideal opportunity for individuals, corporations and governments to join together and create a global green economy. WWF-Pakistan invited the citizens you to join 175 countries across the globe, step off the backbenches and take a stand in this global movement. WWF-Pakistan is planning a ‘Clean up your City’ activity at Karachi zoo on April 22, from 4-6pm. WWF-Pakistan’s Green Students, Public School students, visitors at the zoo along with representatives fromCDGK and WWF-Pakistan will be given cloth bags and gloves to clean up the site. WWF-Pakistan will be donating a large dustbin to the zoo for Earth Day 2011. WWF-Pakistan is planning to celebrate Earth Day 2011 with an aim to raise awareness, instill individual responsibility and foster behavioral change toward proper disposal of solid waste as a symbol to facilitate sustainable living on our planet, Earth!
