India hopes Pakistan will address its vital concerns

New Delhi : Having decided to resume dialogue process with Pakistan to "reduce the trust deficit", India today hoped that its "vital concerns" such as terrorism would be taken care of during the efforts to normalise bilateral relations.

"The aim of this process is normalisation of relations with Pakistan. Hopefully this normalisation will take into account India's vital concerns," External Affairs Minister S M Krishna said here.

The Minister was addressing a function release the latest edition of the 'Indian National Security'.

"On our part, we shall always be ready to address Pakistan's concerns as long as the mechanism is dialogue," he added.

Krishna said dialogue has been started with Pakistan to resolve all the outstanding issue between the two sides in spirit of "openness". PTI
