ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani will visit Afghanistan on Saturday (today) to meet its leadership.
The prime minister will hold talks with Afghan President Hamid Karzai on a wide range of issues, including bilateral relations, Afghan situation, regional security, terrorism and extremism besides cross-border infiltration.
The prime minister is visiting Afghanistan on the invitation of Afghan President Hamid Karzai.
The visit is strategically important as, besides the political leadership, Pakistan’s military top brass, including Army Chief General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani and Director General Inter Services Intelligence Ahmad Shuja Pasha will also accompany the prime minister to participate in the delegation-level talks.
