Georgetown, Guyana Guyana is fully prepared and ready to host its leg of Digicel 2011 Cricket Series between the West Indies and Pakistan from May 5-15, says President of Georgetown Cricket Board GCB Chetram Singh.
Singh said GCB team met with officials to discuss security and other matters that relate to hosting ofan event of this magnitude. Another meeting expected on Tuesday will discuss security matters at Guyana National Stadium. West Indies Cricket Board WICB Regional Security Manager Paul Slowe will assist with these arrangements.He said both teams, along with umpires, match referees will arrive in Guyana on May 3 on a chartered flight. Security provisions have been made to ensure that all is well where they will be staying.
