No election prior to rectification of bogus electoral lists: Imran

ISLAMABAD: The PTI Chairman, Imran Khan has declared that no general election would be tolerated prior to rectification of bogus electoral lists.

Addressing a joint press conference alongwith Air Marshal (Retd) Asghar Khan of Tehreek-e-Istaqlal on Monday at latter’s residence, he announced his strong resolve to struggle for an independent Election Commission
The PTI chief cited earlier massive rigging of Lahore polls, proof of which had been forwarded to the Election commission, which however failed to respond to the issue.
He also informed that his party had even referred to Supreme Court for registration of 350 million voters, over which the Apex Court had passed its order for getting these voters registered.
He strongly castigated political mafia as political outcasts, and cited this morbidity as a major negative factor prevalent in two major existent parties; which also had strong negative and destructive inclinations towards hierarchical politics.
Replying to a question, Imran Khan publicly requested CJP to pay attention to the prudent logic of Tehreek-e-Istaqlal chief, Air Marshal (Retd) Asghar Khan, who also announced to join hands with Imran Khan.
Imran Khan also challenged anyone to prove that ISI was ever behind his electoral endeavors, saying that he would surrender his political career if this was ever proved; while others should make the same vow if their collaboration with ISI was proved.
The PTI also accused certain elements of planning to sabotage the 25th Dec public gathering of PTI, which he vowed to foil, while also requesting masses to congregate to maximum at the rally.
Replying to yet another question, Imran Khan said that Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan’s challenge of referring to Supreme Court over his (Imran’s) assets was irrelevant as the issue belonged to a commission enquiry, and said that if any such commission managed to prove his illegal assets, he would gladly resign his political career, while the same should also to apply to Nisar Ali khan.
Referring to criticism over old hands joining PTI, the PTI chairman said that this was another well planned conspiracy of two major political parties to discourage PTI; as it was, but logical need of any novice party to strengthen itself with able and seasoned politicians. He assured masses that his selection would nevertheless be flawless, as was his selection of cricket teams under his captaincy.
Referring to another question regarding his alleged change over American criticism, the PTI chief denied the allegation, saying that he was still opposed the American war
On the occasion, Air Marshall (Retd) Asghar Khan announced his resignation from Tehreek-e-Istaqlal and joined PTI, said that ever since 1964 to 2008, every election had been rigged.
