Balochistan Assembly condemns NATO attacks

QUETTA: The Balochistan Assembly on Monday condemned NATO attack on two posts in Mohmand agency which had killed 24 soldiers last month.

The assembly adopted a unanimous resolution and demanded permanent withdrawal of facilities to US-led allied forces stationed in Afghanistan.
Senior Minister and the Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam-F parliamentary leader Maulana Abdul Wasey, Minister for Works and the Pakistan Peoples Party deputy parliamentary leader Ali Madad Jatak, Minister for Revenue and Awami National Party leader Eng. Zamarak Khan Piralizai and Minister for Minorities Jay Parakash moved the joint resolution.
The resolution termed the NATO bombardment on Pakistani checkpost in Salala as a brutal act, asking the provincial government to approach the Federal Government to take every possible step for compensating the families of martyrs.
Speaking on the resolution, Piralizai appreciated the Federal Government steps to withdraw facilities to the US and NATO forces including evacuation of Shamshi airbase.
Parakash demanded that the US government should apologize for the attack besides guaranteeing that no such attacks would be carried out in future.
Minister for Quality Education Jan Ali Changezi viewed that NATO attack was part of conspiracies being hatched against Pakistan.
Minister for Forests and Wildlife Abdul Samad Akhunzada demanded more measures to withdraw facilities to NATO completely.
Minister for Gwadar Development Authority Zahoor Buledi said that Pakistan had suffered losses of billions of dollars in respect of war on terror. He flayed NATO attack on Pakistani forces.
Minister for Mines and Minerals Abdul Rehman Mengal said that there should be no flexibility in order to avoid recurrence of such an event.
Minister for Wasa Mir Habibur Rehman Muhammad Hasni said that people of Washak district were happy on evacuation of Shamsi airfield.
Maulana Abdul Wasey appreciated the government and state institutions for withdrawing facilities to the US and NATO forces stationed in Afghanistan. He, however, demanded that these measures should remain on permanent basis.
The chair put the resolution to the house which passed it unanimously.
