DERA ISMAIL KHAN: JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman has said those
who are playing politics in the name of Seraiki province should tell
Seraiki people about their performance during last three and half
years.
Maulana Fazlur Rehman said this while talking to a group of journalists here at his residence Sunday.
“I
am elected representative of this area. My attachment with the people
of this area spans over three generations. No one has protected the
interests of Seraiki people more than us. We have fought war for the
protection of rights of people. We have shown performance and only we
can think about the bright future of Seraiki people. We will not allow
a few feudalists and lords to be imposed on the people. We are not
opposed to Seraiki province but we cannot leave the people of this area
at the mercy of feudalists. The elements chanting attractive slogan of
Seraiki province should also tell the people about the performance of
their three and half year government”, he underlined.
Responding
to a question he said government had failed and due to disunity in the
ranks of opposition government is playing better cards despite being a
failed government.
“We will have to make realistic approach to
resolve Karachi issue. Land mafia has disrupted the peace of the city”,
he remarked. Responding to a question he said US had been defeated in
Afghanistan and it is now returning from Afghanistan due to crushing
defeat. War against terrorism has fuelled terrorism in the region, he
added.
Maulana Fazlur Rehman had contacted planning commission
chairman to become aware about progress on presidential directives
regarding Chashma Left canal and mega projects of gas and electricity
in respect of southern districts particularly Dera Ismail Khan. Maulana
Fazlur Rehman was told that a 2-member committee had been constituted
to make headway on the projects. The committee was in contact with the
concerned authorities.
Maulana Fazlur Rehman told the problems of gas and electricity would stand resolved with the completion of these projects. Online
