LAHORE: Prime Minister (PM) Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani has said that
the Interior Minister Rehman Malik has made a request to him for
constitution of commission to probe into the allegations levelled by
Zulfiqar Mirza against him.
PM told this while talking to media
men here Sunday. He said interior minister had written a letter to
Chief Justice of Pakistan on Karachi issue.
Answering to
questions asked with reference to Dr Zulfiqar Mirza PM told Zulfiqar
Mirza took a principled decision by tendering resignation from his
office. People level allegations while staying in the party but
Zulfiqar Mirza extended his resignation first of all, he added.
To
another question he said he wanted local bodies election should take
place ahead of general elections and he would convince all the
provinces in this respect.
Referring to load shedding he said
federal and provincial governments would together take steps to
overcome load shedding. The commission under the chairmanship of
finance minister would present its recommendations in the cabinet soon
to end load shedding, he indicated. Online
