ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Rehman Malik has demanded of Prime
Minister (PM) Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani to constitute judicial commission
to probe into allegations levelled by former home minister Sindh Dr
Zulfiqar Mirza against him.
Well-placed sources told interior
minister had written a letter to PM whereby he had diverted the
attention of PM to the allegations levelled by Dr Zulfiqar Mirza
against him. Rehman Malik said he rejected all the allegations, as
there was no substance in these charges. The criminals/target killers
arrested by the police and Rangers are subject to judicial custody and
their control does not fall under the ministry of interior, he told. As
an interior minister he had neither ever instructed any authority in
Sindh or any LEA under his control to release arrested target killers.
Sources
told Online Rehman Malik had requested PM through his letter to
constitute a judicial commission under a judge of Supreme Court to look
into all these allegations. Online
