Monsoon flood yet to hit Sindh

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan meteorological department (PMD) has warned on Sunday that more rains were about to pour in Sindh, southern Punjab and eastern parts of Balochistan during next three days.

Director General PMD Arif Mehmood told Online that new spell of rain and thundershowers with isolated heavy falls expected in Bahawalpur division, Rahim Yar Khan and Khanpur districts which would penetrate Sukhur and Mirpur Khas during next 3 days. 
He informed this scribe that a heavy rain in Sukhur and Mirpur Khas districts whereas light shower expected in Hyderabad and at a number of places in Balochistan including Quetta during next 3 days.
Met Office further informed that 70 mm and 50 mm rain was recorded on yesterday (Saturday) in Nawabshah and Mirpur Khas respectively. Moreover, Director Regional Meteorological Centre, Karachi Muhammad Touseef Alam said that thunder showers expected in coming few days in central parts of Sindh including Nawabshah, Badin and Hyderabad.
He said that more heavy rains expected in eastern parts of Sindh including Mithi, Tharparker district and Islamkot.
He said that all concerned authorities are advised to remain alert during next three days. He said regional meteorological centre in Mithi monitoring the situation and keeping the people informed by radio broadcast.
