PM directs parliamentarians to personally monitor flood affected areas

ISLAMABAD: The Prime Minister Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani discussed the flood situation in Sindh arising due to torrential rains and asked the Cabinet Ministers and parliamentarians belonging to Sindh to visit their respective constituencies and personally monitor the relief work.

The Prime Minister told the parliamentarians about the steps taken by the Federal Government for the relief of people strangled in rain hit areas.
The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has been advised to work in liaison with PDMA and district administration to make relief work more effective, added the Prime Minister. Syed Khursheed Shah apprised the Prime Minister about the relief activities in various parts of Sindh. Online
