ISLAMABAD: ANP Central Vice President Bushra Gohar has advised that
a commission comprising of reputable psychiatrists should be
constituted to examine MQM leader Altaf Hussain and his statements as
he is no more a normal person.

I am advising and it is evident that he is no more normal person,” the
Awami National Party senior leader and also MNA insisted in her
interview with Online on Sunday.
“His examinations by good
psychiatrists would surely resolve many problems and would save the
time of the nation to think over what the MQM chief says”, she said.
She
rejected the notion of forming any judicial commission or any other
inquiry in this connection before psychiatrists’ examination of Altaf
Hussain, as a sheer wastage of time.
She said that in his
Friday video press conference, the MQM leader had threatened the
supreme court of Pakistan by saying that he would let loose his workers
if the Apex Court decided something against him; besides threatening,
political parties and masses of Pakistan.
She further said that
in all his video conference he committed strange actions and his body
language was also not normal. “He was reciting Quran at one time and in
the same breath he started singing Indian melodies with dancing
gestures on his chair which show he is definitely not a normal person.
Bushra Gohar said that his arguments were also not logical and
coherent, as all the people and media observed was abnormal.
Nevertheless,
he (Altaf) had clearly threatened institutions of Pakistan and issued
provocative statements, causing uneasiness and tensions among those who
are unaware of his current mental status.
“He is no more
Pakistani and is a citizen of Great Britain, therefore Pakistani
foreign office must raise the issue immediately with the UK government
and I would also stress this in the parliament that Pakistan should
take serious note of a foreigner’s provocations,” in order to assist
government pacify its citizens, who hopefully may think differently
after report of the proposed psychiatrists report.
Altaf
Hussain said that he wanted to sacrifice his life for Pakistan and
wanted to return to the country but was afraid over threats to his life
she said, adding that this was totally against his earlier claims of
sacrificing his life for the country. Commenting on the politics of
Muttihida Qaumi Movement (MQM), she blamed that the party was adopting
fascist approach, as they had always tended to suppress free media and
freedom of expression in Pakistan. “Journalist Nusrat Javid is the
recent victim and besides all are also aware of cases of CNBC and Dawn
Reporter”, she cited, adding that she was very much concerned over
further victimization of media . Online
