Karachi situation has clouded minds and souls of masses: Nawaz Sharif

HYDERABAD: PML-N President Mian Nawaz Sharif has strongly deplored blood and gory situation of Karachi, which had clouded minds and souls of masses.

Addressing a press conference in Hydrabad, he said that those responsible for provoking the controversies, violence and hatred among masses were publicly and unscrupulously appearing on media, while also expressing his wonderment on their indifference and shamelessness.
He said that the only way to tackle this unwonted state of affairs was possible if all political forces united and took joint action to resolve the situation. “Only a consensus based agenda could save the situation,” he declared.
Replying to a question regarding Altaf Hussein’s media tirade, he said those claiming that The Holy Kalima was not the ideological basis for Independence of Pakistan should verify their any ideology first; as history was witness to the fact of Pakistan’s ideology.
Nawaz Sharif also declined to comment on Altaf Hussein’s desired role for Pakistan Army and declared former President Musharraf as a coward, for ‘succumbing to American pressuring instantly’.
He also expressed his deep concerns and apprehensions at the flood and rain situation of Sindh, stressing better relief and rehabilitation of flood affectees, while also assuring that aid reached the deserving.
He also wants government to waive micro-loans of poor farmers, and berated administration’s failures to ensure ready relief measures for flood calamities.
He said that currently 32 industries were nationalized, while he also criticized the totally wrong decison of former PM, Z .A. Bhutto’s nationalizing of industries.
HE said the government had failed to provide relief to flood victims, stressing federal, Provincial ministers to assist relief activities, instead of traveling to/from major cities.
Addressing flood affectees in front of press club after his tour of flooded Tando Allhayar, he expressed his deep concerns and grief at the destruction and havoc caused by floods.
Berating rulers/officials for their foreign tours and indifference, he pledged that PML-N would not leave flood affectees alone in this time of need, and assist them to best of its abilities.
