KARACHI: A delegation of Bin Qasim Association of Trade &
Industry (BQATI) along with its Patron In-chief and Founder President
Mian Muhammed Ahmed, President Mr. Usman Ahmed and Vice President Mr.
Abdul Rasheed Jan Muhammed along with other notable business community
called on the Chief of Army Staff, General Ashfaq Pervez Kayani.
They
apprised him with their concern about deteriorating law and order
situation of the Karachi and the effects on businesses and industrial
activities in Karachi. Corps Commander, Karachi Lieutenant General
Muhammad Zahir ul Islam also attended the meeting.
Members of
BQATI talked about their concern over an early end to Karachi
operation, they showed their concern that the city could once again
fall into the lawlessness if powers given to Rangers were withdrawn.
BQATI stressed over the need that the operation being conducted by
Rangers must continue for a longer period of time, if there will be
peace and stability business and economy will grow, if law and order
situation does not improve, capital will fly to other countries.
BQATI
member showed their concern over the news that the government could end
the operation prematurely and again hand over the responsibility of
maintaining peace in the city, pointed out that the political elements
infiltrate in city’s police, raising a question mark on the capability
