NICL scam investigation officer Zafar Qureshi stopped from entering in FIA building

Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Additional Director General Zafar Qureshi was not allowed to enter his office following a bomb hoax call at the FIA Punjab headquarters in Lahore on Saturday.

According to sources, a six to seven second phone call on Assistant Director Khawaja Hammadur Rehman’s phone warned him of a bomb planted inside the building and the caller said “whoever wants to save their life must leave the building”.
The Bomb Disposal Squad was informed immediately after the phone call was received. Station House Officer (SHO) Civil Lines and the BDS reached on the spot.
The building was evacuated and 18 people who were being kept at the office were handed over to the investigation officers.
The search process began at 10:30am and the building was cleared at 11:30am.
The National Insurance Company Limited (NICL) scam investigating officer had called a meeting of the investigative team on Saturday at the FIA office at 11am.
Zafar Qureshi refused to talk media, meanwhile he said I am Zafar Qureshi and I came here to take the charge of NICL scam, but the doors are locked and I am going back.
Zafar Qureshi told the officials of FIA that they should inform the high official the he (ZAFAR Qureshi) came to FIA office but went back due to locked doors.
It is worth mentioning here that the Supreme Court directed Zafar Qureshi to take over charge of the NICL case in emergency, meanwhile the apex court also directed the government to get permission before talking any action against Zafar Qureshi. SANA
