Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani has stated that the Government is
working on war footings to overcome unscheduled load
shedding in the country. He said that all relevant ministries had been directed
to resolve the issue of circular debt expeditiously which would help to reduce
the load shedding to a great extent.
The Prime Minister was talking to the Deputy Chairman Senate and Members of
the Parliament who called on him at Prime Minister’s House here on Saturday.
The Prime Minister said that the High-Powered Committee constituted by him
would soon submit its recommendations to address the agonizing load shedding in
the country.
The Prime Minister said that Government was taking measures to accelerate the
pace of development in the country. He said that the development funds were
being released to all the parliamentarians to complete the projects which were
people’s welfare oriented. He urged the parliamentarians to focus on the timely
completion of the ongoing development projects for the benefit of the people at
the grassroot level.
The parliamentarians apprised the Prime Minister about various development
schemes of their respective constituencies. Those who met the Prime Minister
