A meeting of the Judicial Commission Chaired by Chief Justice of Pakistan
Justice Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry on Saturday
recommended regularization of seven Additional Judges of Lahore and Peshawar
High Courts.
The commission recommended regularization of Justice Sagheer Ahmed Qadri and
Justice Khwaja Imtiaz and Justice Qasim Khan from the Lahore High Court and
Justice Fatahuddin, Justice Mazhar Alam, Justice Ataullah and Justice Shafi
Ahmed of Peshawar High Court.
The Chief Justices of high courts, Federal Minister of law Maula Bakhsh
Chandio, Provincial Ministers of Law, Attorney General Molvi Anwarul Haq and
representatives of the bar councils attended the meeting.
It is worth mentioning here that the commission has sent its recommendations
for final approval to the parliamentary committee according to the rules for the
regularization of judges. SANA
