President summons Mirza to Islamabad

ISLAMABAD: After sparking statement which shocked the country, President Asif Ali Zardari on Thursday has summoned Senior Minister of Sindh Dr. Zulfiqar Mirza to Islamabad.

According to press release issued by the Presidency here, Spokesperson to the President Farhatullah Babar said that Zulfiqar Mirza has been summoned in the wake of controversial statement given by the provincial senior minister Wednesday night.
He said that the Party has already disowned the statement and called upon its rank and file to show restraint in public statement. Mirza was asked to immediately report to the Party leadership in the capital.
After breathed fire by Zulfiqar Mirza against the Urdu speaking community, at least 15 people have been killed, dozens other injured and buses and properties were torched during the mass protests in Karachi, Hyderabad, Sakhar and other cities across the province.
