Faisal Karim Kundi for regular interaction between political leadership, people of Pakistan,India

Faisal Karim Kundi, Deputy Speaker, National Assembly Thursday stressed for regular interaction between the political leadership and people of Pakistan and India to build the bridges of understanding and friendship between the two nations.He said this while talking to Indian High Commissioner to Pakistan Sharat Sabharwal called on Deputy Speaker, National Assembly in the Parliament House. Kundi also called for resolution of longstanding issues between the two countries through dialogue.Faisal Karim Kundi said that since both the countries were tied in bonds of history and culture, therefore, Pakistan desires to have cordial relations with its neighbour.
He said that joint efforts by the both countries were required for regional peace and progress.He called for regular interaction between parliamentarians of Pakistan and India specially the young Members of Parliament for enhancing bilateral cooperation between the two parliaments.
The Deputy Speaker also expressed his sympathies on the yesterday’s incident of bomb blasts in Mumbai.He said that some hidden hands were trying to disrupt the peace and stability in the region.
The Indian High Commissioner Sharat Sabharwal agreed with the Deputy Speaker and said that Indian government also wanted to have cordial relations with Pakistan.
He informed that recent engagement of diplomats of both the countries have set out a comprehensive agenda for future consultations.
He was convinced that relations between the two countries were moving in right direction due to confidence building measures taken by both the governments.
He also agreed for regular interaction between Pakistani and Indian Parliamentarians. APP
