Ahmed Askar asks Pak to play role in Arab masses struggle against dictators

The Pakistani government should support the peaceful movement of Arab masses against the dictatorship in their respective countries.

In a special interview, Ahmed Askar, a Syrian national and Coordinator of the Arab-African movement against the dictators said that the Arab students in Pakistan will hold a protest demo in front of the Parliament House on Friday (today) to highlight the brutalities of Syrian and Libyan dictators on their masses.
“The purpose of the demo is to create awareness in Pakistani people about brutalities of dictatorships in Arab countries and pressurize the Foreign Ministry for not supporting of dictatorships. Arab peoples are effected party and the rulers are offenders”, he said.
“Pakistani people should support our struggle for democracy as like they enjoying democracy in the country. Now Arabs have been stood up for their rights against the rules and want change, the time is not far away when they success to achieve their goal”, the activist said.
He said that the people of Arab were succeeded against dictators and monarchs in two countries and would succeed in three countries during the next six months, adding that Syrian President Basharul Asad has killed thousands of people in past three months.
He said that due to the non-interest of western media in the movement the international community is unaware of the real situation.
He said that the Arab masses love with Pakistan and expect that Pakistan would play such role which it had played during the 1967 Arab Israel war.
He said that the movement which was started from Tunisia has been succeeded in Egypt also and would be succeeded in Libya, Yemen and Syria in next six months.
He said that he doesn’t see dictatorial era in Syria therefore Pakistani government should focus on future and support people of Arab instead of dictators. Arab peoples love Pakistan and hope that as a big country, it will play its due role for stopping brutalities by Arab dictators.
Aksar stated that the Arabs want that they elect their prime ministers and presidents instead of Kings and dictators. It is lamenting that US and European countries are supporting the struggle but Muslim countries including Pakistani government are silent.
“Syrian brutal regime sharply escalated its already deadly campaign to crush the uprising all over the country by sending troops backed by tanks, snipers and knife-wielding security forces into the peaceful cities where the rebellion continues. Up to the day more than 3000 peaceful protesters killed in Syria. About 10,000 wounded, more than 12000 were arrested and about 6,000 were missed in the last two months”, he said.
Askar said that Syrian economy was effecting from the uprising but the nation is ready for paying any sacrifice for democracy in the country. SANA
