LAHORE: Malik Ishaq, leader of a proscribed outfit and alleged
mastermind of attack on Sri Lankan team has been released from Kot
Lakhpat jail.
A single bench of Supreme Court (SC) Lahore
Registry comprising Justice M Shahid Siddiqui had ordered for release
of Malik Ishaq on bail against surety in sum of Rs 500000.
Scores of friends of Malik Ishaq were present outside Kot Lakhpat Jail to receive him when he was released.
Besides
attack on Sri Lankan team, 78 cases including attacks on Rawalpindi
church and Khana Farang Multan were registered against Malik Ishaq. SC
Lahore Registry has granted bail to Malik Ishaq due to lack of evidence. Online
