PM Gilani endeavors to woo back Ameer Muqam to cabinet, fail

ISLAMABAD: All endeavors of PM, Yousaf Raza Gilani to woo back the president PML-Q, Khyber Pakhtoonkhwa, Ameer Muqam back to his previous portfolio, failed as PM’s latest meeting with PML-Q bigwig remained inconclusive.

During his meeting with PM, Yousaf Raza Gilani on Friday, the PML-Q leader was stressed by PM to realize the fact that he (Ameer Muqam) had taken oath as a federal minister and as such should come back to cabinet folds.
Replying to the offer, Ameer Muqam said that portfolios were of no consequence to him, and while conceding the fact that PML-Q was a part of coalition in government, he insisted on maintaining his resignation, which he claims to have tendered on principles.
PM, Yousaf Raza Gilani also strongly condemned the suicide attack carried over Ameer Muqam’s rally, and while commending Ameer Muqam’s resolve to face such odds, also assured the PML-Q leader for provision of further security, from terrorists, who were an unholy scourge against the Nation.
Acknowledging Ameer Muqam’s status among Pakhtoon element of Pakistan, the PM invited Ameer Muqam to play his due part in resolving Karachi crisis and peace. Ameer Muqam has stressed on PM to accept his resignation from cabinet. Online
