ISLAMABAD: Senator Salim Ullah Khan, President Pakistan Muslim
League (PML) like-minded has said 2012 is year of general elections in
the country.
He said this on the occasion of announcement made
by former state minister Dr Shahzad Salim for joining PML like-minded
here Friday. Hummayun Akhtar, Lala Nisar Khan, Kabir Wasti and others
were present on the occasion.
Salim Saifullah said several
offers were extended to him but his party did not accept these offers
and decided to play the role of opposition.
He went on to say
that situation in Karachi, KPK and Balochistan had deteriorated and
national economy had been ruined. Government had failed to control law
and order situation, he alleged. The next year is year of general
elections and political parties should make full fledged preparations
for it, he underlined.
To a question he urged the government to
respect the verdicts of courts. If judicial decisions are not honoured
then might is right doctrine will prevail, he warned. Meetings with
Mian Nawaz Sharif and other politicians take place, he said adding had
Mian Nawaz Sharif unified PML factions two and half year earlier then
