In-house change likely if opposition is united: Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haideri

Leader of Opposition in Senate and Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F) Secretary General Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haideri on Friday said that the government was unlikely to go the full round of its stipulated term, if the opposition was united.

Talking to media outside the Parliament House, Maulana Ghafoor Haidri said the establishment of united opposition was hinged on Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), adding the option regarding in-house change was there provided that the opposition was in concert.
JUI-F leader said the security agencies failed to restore peace in Karachi, adding his party is ready to convene All Parties Conference to discuss the situation in the city, adding that peace conference would soon be held in Karachi.
He said that the contacts with the other parties would be started after the return of JUI-F chief Maulana Fazaur Rehman from Britain, adding that PML-N should show broadness as other parties have their own significance in politics.
He said that all the options are open and in-house change is also possible, adding that JUI-F could not shut its doors for any party.
He conceded that there is trust deficit in opposition parties during the prevailing situation of the country.
He said that opposition parties could be united on common agenda, adding that PML-N should come forward and should play its due role by taking on board all the opposition parties, adding that settlement of matters is very necessary.
On this occasion, he thanked Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) for supporting him to become Opposition Leader in Senate. SANA
